Application letter samples for jobs in Ghana: driver, shop attendant, cook, teacher, security
Eight short sample letters for jobs people in Ghana often search for. Copy the layout, then change every detail to your own true facts.

A good application letter for a job in Ghana is short: which post you want, why you fit it, and how to reach you. Below are eight samples for a driver, a shop attendant, a filling station attendant, a cook, a private school teacher, a waiter, a receptionist and a security guard. Every name and detail is invented, so change them to your own true facts. Applying is free, and nobody should ask you to pay to submit a letter.
How do you set out an application letter in Ghana?
Your address goes first, with your town, your digital address or post office box, your phone and the date. Then comes the employer's address, the greeting, and a heading with the post. Three short paragraphs are enough. If the advert says to apply by email or on a portal, do that instead. GNPC, for example, takes applications at [email protected]. Our builder writes the same letter from your own details.

Frequently asked questions
Should I copy a sample word for word?
No. Employers see the same samples again and again. Keep the layout, and write your own true experience.
Do I need to attach certificates?
Do what the advert says. If it doesn't ask, your CV and letter are enough, and you can bring originals to the interview.
Should I put my Ghana Card number in the letter?
No. Don't put your card number, bank details or a mobile money PIN in an application. If an employer needs them, it can ask later through a process you've checked.
Can I pay someone to submit my letter?
You don't need to, and you should stop if someone says that paying will get you the job. Applying is free.
